The health & wellness of our guests and employees is our top priority. It is why we wanted to take a moment and share with you what we are doing to be extra vigilant amid peak flu season and growing concerns around Covid19. Please know our regular health and hygiene practices provide the best defense against the spread of most contagious diseases.
In late January we included in our newsletter an article on what we do to protect you from cross contamination. We did not realize at the time how relevant it would be. If you did not read this article please click here.
Although this article covers cross contamination from implements, etc, it does not address all of the specific concerns that people are having in regards to flu and Covid19. Here are some of our every day practices:
Our Estheticians always wash their hands with antibacterial soap between every client, in addition to washing their hands frequently throughout the day. We also have and use our alcohol-based hand sanitizing stations (used to kill 99.9% of illness causing germs) located next to our elevator entrance and in the hall outside our treatment rooms.
We clean and sanitize all spa areas and surfaces nightly using hospital-grade, antibacterial disinfectants.
All of our services are performed in individual rooms - not only does this provide you the privacy to discuss all of your concerns (athletes foot, nail fungus, etc) it also provides a more contained environment to limit close contact and cross contamination.
In response to the Covid19 virus, we have increased cleaning protocols related to high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, keyboards, plumbing fixtures, debit/visa machines, elevator buttons, retail area and more.
We ask all of our clients when entering the spa to use the hand sanitizer located at our entrance and to wash their hands with soap and water before enjoying their service(s).
We also require our team members and our guests to stay home and to seek medical advice if they feel unwell (call 811 if you suspect you might have Covid19). We have temporarily suspended our cancellation policy, so there are no penalties for cancelling appointments due to illness.
We require any of our clients that have travelled/or have been in contact with someone that has traveled outside of the Atlantic Bubble within the last 14 days to suspend their spa appointments until their required quarantine period is over in order to help contain the spread of Covid19. Although we are eager to see you, we know self-isolating is key to stopping the spread of COVID-19.
For a limited time, we have removed the magazines from the waiting area to help ease the spread of cold, flu and Covid19. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
